Mitral Valv Prolapsusu

Abstract

Mitral kapak prolapsusu MVP , bir veya her iki mitral kapakçığın sistol sırasında sol atriuma bombeleflmesi ile karakterize bir kapak hastalığıdır. Ayrıca Barlow sendromu ve “floppy” mitral kapak sendromu gibi çeşitli isimler ile de tanımlanmıştır. Mitral kapak prolapsusu, sadece kapakçıkları etkileyen izole bir lezyon olarak primer MVP gelişebileceği gibi, mitral kapak yapısı- nı etkileyen durumlar sekonder MVP ile de ilişkili olabilir. Vakaların çoğunluğu primer tiptedir ve etyolojisi bilinmemektedir 1 .
