Abstract

Gestasyon haftasına göre düşük doğum ağırlığı SGA olan çocuklarda morbidite ve mortalite insidansı yüksektir. Nörolojik hastalıklar, izlem ve hastaneye yatış gerektiren morbiditeler SGA bebeklerde gestasyon haftasına göre normal ağırlığa sahip AGA bebeklerden 5-10 kat fazladır. SGA bebeklerde, özellikle anne hamilelikte ve daha sonra sigara içiyorsa ciddi solunum problemlerinden hastaneye yatış fazladır
