Abstract

Diabetes mellitus dünya nüfusunun önemli bir kısmını etkileyen hiperglisemi ile karakterize kronik, metabolik bir hastalıktır. insülin eksikliği Tip 1 ya da insüline karşı direnç gelişmesi Tip 2 temel bozukluktur. Tip 1 diyabet; çocukluk ve genç erişkin döneminde bağlayan, etyolojisi kesin olarak bilinmeyen, genetik yatkınlık zemininde, enfeksiyonların da içerisinde yer aldığı çevresel faktörlerin etkisiyle pankreasın beta hücrelerinde zedelenme ile sonuçlanan otoimmün bir hastalıktır
