LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE COMPETENCES AND ACCREDITATION IN THE CONTEXT OF ECLAS - LE:NOTRE TUNING PROJECT

Abstract

With the Tuning Project of the European Union Bologna Process, it is aimed to establish a common education and training framework in Europe for mutual recognition of diplomas. In this context; such five topics as general academic competences; subject-specific competences; use of European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) to accumulate course credits; education, training and course assessment approaches; and the quality assurance in education and training have been identified. Tuning Landscape Architecture Education in Europe was studied within the scope of LE:NOTRE Project initiated by the European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools (ECLAS). With this project, the knowledge, skills and competences that Landscape Architecture graduates should possess were defined as core competences, general academic competences and subject-specific competences. In this study, Landscape Architecture competences developed within the scope of LE:NOTRE Project are discussed and evaluated for the accreditation of landscape architecture teaching programs.

ECLAS - LE:NOTRE TUNING PROJESİ BAĞLAMINDA PEYZAJ MİMARLIĞI YETERLİLİKLERİ VE AKREDİTASYON

Abstract

Avrupa Birliği Bologna Sürecinin bir unsuru olan Tuning Projesi ile eğitim-öğretim ve dolayısıyla alınan diplomaların karşılıklı olarak tanınması bağlamında Avrupa’da ortak bir çerçevenin oluşturulması amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda; genel akademik yeterlilikler; disipline özgü yeterlilikler; ders kredilerinin biriktirilmesi için Avrupa Kredi Transfer Sistemi (AKTS) kullanımı; eğitim, öğretim ve ders değerlendirme yaklaşımları; ve eğitim-öğretimde kalite güvencesi olmak üzere beş ana konu tanımlanmıştır. Tuning Projesinin Peyzaj Mimarlığı eğitimine uyarlanması Avrupa Peyzaj Mimarlığı Okulları Konseyi’nin (ECLAS) girişimi ile başlatılan LE:NOTRE Projesi kapsamında yapılmıştır. Bu proje ile Peyzaj Mimarlığı mezunlarının sahip olması gereken bilgi, beceri ve yeterlilikler, temel yeterlilikler, genel akademik yeterlilikler ve disipline özgü yeterlilikler bağlamında tanımlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, LE:NOTRE Projesi kapsamında geliştirilen Peyzaj Mimarlığı yeterlilikleri ele alınmakta ve peyzaj mimarlığı eğitim programlarının akreditasyonuna yönelik olarak değerlendirilmektedir.
