Abstract

Abstract
Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the knowledge and attitudes of nurses towards the use of herbal products.
Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study with the use of the STROBE checklist. A cross-sectional study was conducted between March and May 2024 with 214 nurses. Data were collected using a Nurse introduction form and the Attitude Scale Towards the Use of Herbal Products. Descriptive statistics and t-tests were used to analyze the data.
Results: The Nurses demonstrated a mean total score of 251.59 (SD=25.72) on the Attitudes Towards the Use of Herbal Products Scale. However, concerns were expressed regarding the quality control and regulatory aspects of these products. Furthermore, demographic factors such as marital status, age, and years of employment were found to significantly influence specific attitudes towards herbal product use.
Conclusion: While nurses perceive herbal products positively, concerns persist regarding their quality and regulation. Educational interventions tailored to address these concerns and consider the influence of demographic factors are essential to promote the safe and informed use of herbal products in patient care.
