Abstract

Abstract

"Magnet hospital" is a concept developed by the American Academy of Nurses in 1983, which is related to the provision of quality care by nurses, who have an important place in the provision of health services, and the attraction and retention of qualified nurses to the hospital. As a concept primarily associated with nursing, its aim is to achieve optimal results by meeting the expectations of both parties—service providers and service recipients. The aim of this study, which was carried out by compilation method, is to examine the benefits of the magnet hospital concept by considering it conceptually. It also serves as a guide for institutions that intend to become magnet hospitals. As a result, magnet hospitals are considered to be one of the special institutions where successful processes are carried out in terms of management and the satisfaction of the service users is ensured. It is clearly seen that by increasing the number of these hospitals, the satisfaction of the nurses as well as the satisfaction of the patients will increase.
