The journal focuses on publishing articles that explore diverse dimensions of policy studies in Europe and beyond. Submissions are expected to contribute significantly to the understanding and advancement of knowledge in the field. We particularly encourage scholarly works that blend innovative theoretical perspectives with rigorous empirical research, as well as those that employ or develop novel methodological frameworks. The journal embraces an interdisciplinary approach, interpreting social policy bot empirically and theoretically in expansive terms. Articles may examine multi-level governance within the EU, MENA or other contexts, offer cross-national comparative analyses, or draw comparisons with regions outside Europe.

Topics of interest span a wide range of social policy areas, including but not limited to labor market dynamics, demographic changes, education, Europeanisation, family policy, gender issues, health and social care, social security, poverty, social exclusion, and privatization.

Submissions focusing on singe-country studies are welcome, provided the address broader theoretical or comparative implications.  

1- Interdisciplinary Theoretical Foundations

Examination of theories related to social policy across various fields, including social sciences, economics, law, health, engineering and natural sciences.

Models and frameworks that integrate social, economic, and environmental approaches within the context of social policy.

2- Innovative Research and Interdisciplinary Approaches

Social Sciences: Research on the social impacts of policies, gender equality, poverty, alleviation, social justice, and inclusion.

Economics and Business: Studies on economic models social policy, labor market policies, economic inequality, and the role of business in social development.

Health Sciences: Research on public health systems, health equity, the role of social policies in health outcomes, and social determinants of health.

Environmental Law and Social Policy: Legal frameworks related to social policy, national and international policies addressing social justice, and the relations between environmental and social issues.

Natural Sciences and Engineering: Research on the role of innovation, technology, and environmental sciences in shaping policies, particularly related to public health and welfare.

3- Policies and Practical Applications.

Interdisciplinary approaches to the application of research from social sciences, economics, law, and health in social policy development and implementation.

Social policy management in business, corporate social responsibility, and the integration of social goals within economic and business strategies.

Successful case studies showcasing the impact interdisciplinary research in the practical application of social policies.

4- Case Studies and Real-World Applications

Lessons learned from the integration of social sciences, economics, law, and health in the creation and implementation of effective social policies.

Real-world examples of successful interdisciplinary collaborations in the application of social policy across various sectors.

5- Future Directions Emerging Interdisciplinary Trends

Future perspectives on the contributions of interdisciplinary research to the development of more effective and inclusive social policies.

Emerging trends in policy-making, including the integration of new technological, legal, and economic frameworks into social policy design and implementation.

Formatting Guidelines:

1. Submissions should be prepared on A4 paper with 2.5 cm margins on all sides, using 10-point Times New Roman font, 1.5 line spacing, and justified alignment. Paragraphs should begin with a tab indent, and single spacing should be used for tables and figures within the text.

2. The article title should be centered, in bold, Times New Roman, 12-point, and written in lowercase letters (except for proper nouns).

3. Author information should be placed below the title, aligned to the left, in 10-point Times New Roman font with single spacing. Author names should be written with lowercase letters for the first name and uppercase letters for the last name. Below the name, the author’s title, institution, and email address should be provided.

4. Before the introduction, the manuscript should include:
- A 150-200-word abstract in the article's language (Turkish) summarizing the scope, aim, results, and methods.
- A 600-800-word extended abstract in English (if the manuscript is not written in English). The English title should appear above the English abstract.
- 4-6 keywords in both Turkish and English.
5. Articles must include the following sections:
- Title, abstract, and keywords (in both languages).
- Extended abstract (in English, if applicable).
- Main text sections, endnotes, and references.
6. Tables, figures, and graphics should only be included if necessary for understanding the study. They should be numbered and accompanied by descriptive titles. Data that can be presented in the text, such as demographic details, should not be presented as tables.

7. A cover page must be submitted with the manuscript. It should include the article title, author(s)’ affiliations, academic titles, contact details (address, phone, fax, email), and ORCID IDs.

8. Authors are solely responsible for the content of their submitted works.

9. The editorial board and referee reports may require revisions to the manuscript.

10. Submissions are not returned, whether accepted or declined.

Text Format:

- The main title should be written in all capital letters and centered.

- Section titles such as Introduction, Conclusion (or Discussion and Conclusion), and References are not numbered, but headings in the development sections should be numbered.

- All section titles should be aligned to the left, and the first letter of each word should be capitalized.

- The manuscript should not exceed 20 pages. Abstracts in both Turkish and English should not exceed 200 words, with no more than 6 keywords listed below.

Referencing and Citation:

Use the APA style for in-text citations. For example:

- (Surname, Year: Page).

- For works with multiple pages: (Surname, Year: 12-15, 18).

- For multiple authors: (Author1 and Author2, Year: Page).

- For more than two authors: (Surname et al., Year: Page).

- For multiple works by the same author in the same year: (Surname, 1991a), (Surname, 1991b).

- Separate references with a semicolon: (Author1, Year: Page; Author2, Year: Page).

-Direct quotes must be placed in quotation marks and referenced accordingly.

-Footnotes should only be used for additional explanations and listed at the bottom of the page in numerical order.

References List:

Include only sources cited in the text, listed alphabetically by the author’s last name.

Submitted articles must align with the journal's aims and scope. Only original, unpublished articles that are not under review elsewhere and have been approved by all authors for submission are accepted for evaluation. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information provided in their submissions and for guaranteeing the originality of their work. Once an article is submitted, no author’s name can be removed from the author list, no new author can be added, and the author order cannot be changed without written consent from all authors. Any changes in the content or structure of the article also require the approval of all authors. Ethical violations, including plagiarism, duplication, false authorship, research/data fabrication, salami slicing (publishing in parts), copyright infringement, and concealing conflicts of interest, are strictly prohibited. Any article that violates these ethical standards will be removed from publication, even if the violation is discovered post-publication.
