Author Guidelines

  AIMS AND SCOPE

Pediatric Practice and Research Journal is published annually and operates under a continuous publishing model,

whereby accepted articles are published online immediately after completion of the editorial and production process, without waiting for a scheduled issue.

The journal aims to publish high-quality original clinical and experimental studies, case reports, and letters to the editor covering all areas of pediatrics.

Pediatric Practice and Research Journal is an open-access journal. All articles are freely and immediately available in full text upon publication, ensuring unrestricted access to academic research.

Publication Policy

The Journal does not consider manuscripts that have been previously published, are currently under consideration elsewhere, or are accepted for publication in another journal. Studies previously presented at scientific congresses may be considered for publication, provided that this information is clearly stated in the manuscript.

If any part of a submitted manuscript includes material previously published by the same author(s), a copy of the related publication must be submitted to the Editorial Office together with a written explanation from the authors.

Editorial and Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo an initial technical review to confirm that the required documentation has been provided and to evaluate the manuscript and supplementary files for suitability and compliance with journal guidelines. Manuscripts with deficiencies will be returned to the authors for correction.

The journal operates a blind peer-review process. Manuscripts considered suitable after the initial evaluation are typically sent to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field to assess the scientific quality and academic merit of the study.

EDITORIAL POLICY AND AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Editorial Evaluation and Peer Review

All manuscripts are initially evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, or a member of the Editorial Board. The editorial team reserves the right to return manuscripts to the author(s) for revision, request amendments, edit the submission, or reject the manuscript without external review.

Manuscripts deemed suitable for further evaluation are forwarded by the Associate Editor or Editorial Board member to independent reviewer(s). Authors may be invited to submit a revised version of their manuscript when necessary; however, such an invitation does not imply acceptance for publication.

Revised manuscripts must be submitted within 21 days. Submissions received after this period will be treated as new submissions.

The corresponding author will be notified of the final editorial decision regarding acceptance or rejection.

Statements and opinions expressed in published articles are solely those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Editor, Associate Editors, or Editorial Board.

Submitted manuscripts will not be returned to authors regardless of the publication decision. No copyright fee or honorarium is paid for published articles. A copy of the journal will be sent to the corresponding author.

Language of the Journal

The official languages of the journal are Turkish and English. Manuscripts submitted in Turkish must include an English abstract to ensure wider international accessibility.

Authorship Criteria

the manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere,

it has not been previously published in whole or in part (except as an abstract),

ethical committee approval has been obtained where required.

Pediatric Practice and Research Journal follows the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Authors must meet the authorship criteria defined in the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals (available at: www.icmje.org).

Ethical Responsibilities

Patient anonymity must be strictly protected. All studies involving human participants must include statements confirming informed consent and approval by an institutional ethics committee.
