Determining The Attitude Of Secondary School Students Towards Physical Education And Sport Lesson (Muğla Sample)

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine the attitude of secondary school students in Muğla towards Physical Education and Sports lessons.
While secondary school students in Muğla from the scope of this research, 458 volunteer secondary school students (232 of whom are male and 226 of whom are female) who were selected randomly from 8 secondary schools from the 6th, 7th and 8th grade classes form the sample of the research.
Survey method was used collect data. Demographic features are covered in the first part of the survey while the scale of physical education and attitude which Demirhan and Altay (2001) revised in the second part. SPSS (16) statistics programme used to evaluate the data and the level of significance was taken as (p<0,05).
The frequency analyses were performed to determine the percentage of demographic data and survey items. The T-test is used to compare the gender and attitude towards physical education in independent groups. One-way analysis of variance is utilized to compare the attitude towards physical education and the parameters age, level of class and success.
Significant difference was not found between the attitude grades towards the physical education lesson of the male and female students (P<0.05).
