Kanser Hastalarında Narrative Terapi Yaklaşımları: Hayatın Boncukları

Abstract

Kanser insanların hayatına beklenmedik bir şekilde ve davetsiz bir misafir olarak girmektedir. Tanı aldıktan sonra insanlar hem bireysel hem de toplumsal birtakım söylemlerle hastalığı ya da problemi içselleştirmeye başlamaktadırlar. Bu durumda da insanlar problem karşısında daha güçsüz, umutsuz hissedebilmektedirler. Bunun nedeni olarak insanlar sadece hasatlıktan ibaretmiş gibi bir algının oluşması olarak düşünülebilir. Hayatın boncukları (Beads of life) etkinliğinde amaç kişilerin zorluklarla mücadele etmelerinde daha güçlü hissetmelerini sağlamaktır. Hayatın boncukları uygulamasında alternatif bazı yolların (hikayeler) olabileceğine dair hayatlarına boncuklarla bazı işaretler bırakmak amaçlamaktadır. Bunu da hayat hikayelerinden yola çıkarak onların güçlü, iyi, güzel yetenek ve becerilerini boncuklarla eşleştirerek kendi hayatlarında küçük işaretler bırakmak hedeflenmektedir. Kanser hastalarıyla yapılan hayatın boncukları uygulamalarında kanser hastalarının hastalıktan öte hikayelerinin ortaya çıkartılması kişileri psikolojik olarak güçlendirmektedir.
