Dijital İkiz Teknolojisi ve Afet Yönetimi: Bibliyometrik Analize Dayalı Bir İnceleme

Year 2025, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 11 - 27, 04.07.2025

Abstract

Digital Twin in Local Sustainability and Natural Disaster Management: A Bibliometric Analysis-Based Review

Year 2025, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 11 - 27, 04.07.2025

Abstract

With the technological development, the concept of “Digital Twin” has started to gain more place in the literature in the last five years. Digital twin technology is an innovative application that aims to provide real-time data by creating digital copies of systems. This concept has recently started to be used in areas such as natural disasters and especially earthquakes. In order to better understand the development of this concept with concepts such as disaster management, bibliometric analysis was used. This research aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis and comparison of scientific studies on disaster management, earthquake and local governments on digital twin technology scanned in Google Scholar database in Turkish and English. For this purpose, 256 articles published in the last seven years (2017-2024) were reached. Bibliometric data of 256 scientific studies in Google Scholar database were analyzed using SPSS 26 program. With this study, it is aimed to provide information about digital twin and disaster management, earthquake and local governments and suggestions are made to guide scientific studies in this field
