Social Media Visibility Index

Rast Muzikoloji Dergisi editorial board has developed a new system to monitor and evaluate the journal’s visibility on digital platforms for the new term. This system will be implemented by the editorial board and will be used as an internal evaluation criterion for quality assessment.

Definition

The Social Media Visibility Index is a system developed to measure and evaluate the digital visibility of the Rast Müzikoloji Dergisi. This index is based on quantitative data such as follower numbers, engagement rates, posting frequency, reach statistics, and referral traffic collected from platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, Google Groups memberships, and promotional emails sent regularly by the journal. Through this system, the online visibility of the journal can be regularly monitored and improved.

Purpose

The purpose of the Social Media Visibility Index is to systematically track and enhance the presence of the Rast Müzikoloji Dergisi on social media platforms and communication networks. By means of this index, it is aimed to expand the journal’s digital outreach, increase the accessibility of its academic content to more readers and researchers, strengthen its scientific reputation, and enhance its brand value. The index will be measured every three months, and the trends will be monitored to integrate them into the journal’s quality evaluation processes.
