ANALYSIS OF EDUCATION-JOB MISMATCH OF YOUTH IN KYRGYZSTAN

Abstract

Kyrgyzstan has sufficiently high rate of general education enrollment (school education and tertiary education). In particular, in last 25 years it witnessed rapid growth of tertiary education institutions. However, according to the reports on private sector such performance in education does not provide with the labour force that have qualifications looked for in the labour market. This research aims to study the effect of education-job mismatch of youth in Kyrgyzstan. Research will be based on the cross-sectional data by ILO (2013) on Kyrgyzstan conducted specifically for analysis of the school-to-work transition of youth

Abstract

Кыргызстан имеет достаточно высокий уровень доступа к образованию, школьному и
высшему. За последние 25 лет наблюдается стремительный рост количества высших
учебных заведений. Тем не менее увеличение количества высших учебных заведений не
обеспечивает потребности в квалифицированной рабочей силе на рынке труда. Целью
данного исследования является выявление несоответствия уровня образовательных услуг
запросам рынка труда. В анализе использованы перекрестные (анкетные) данные
Международной организации труда за 2013 г., собранные для анализа проблемы перехода
молодежи Кыргызстана от образования к занятости.

Abstract
