Article Writing Guidelines:

FILE FORMAT

Articles should be submitted in MS Word format, with one copy with the author's name and one copy without the author's name, to rodostoartdesign@nku.edu.tr

PAGE SPECIFICATIONS
Page Size: A4

Margins: Left margin: 4 cm, right margin: 2 cm, left-aligned
Font: Times New Roman

Title: Short, clear, uppercase, written in both Turkish and English. The Turkish title should be at the top, in 12-point boldface, and the English title should be at the bottom or in italics, separated by a parentheses ( / ).
Subheadings: 12-point font, bold, with capital letters.
Authors: Names should be provided without abbreviations and with email addresses.
Abstract: Maximum 150 words, 9-point font, single-spaced, in Turkish and English.
Keywords: 3-7 keywords should be provided in Turkish and English.
Text font: 12-point font.
Line spacing: 1.5 in the text and 1 in the references section.
Subheadings: Single-spaced.
Page number: Should be placed in the bottom right corner, at the end of the line.
Spelling Rules: Must comply with the spelling rules set by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Turkish Language Association.
Page Count: Submitted manuscripts should not exceed 20 pages, including the bibliography and appendices.
Research Support: If the research has received support from any institution, it should be stated at the end of the article.
Graduate Thesis Articles: If the article is prepared from a Master's or Proficiency in Arts thesis or from these theses, a "publishable" letter must be obtained from the relevant Institute or private or public institution for which the thesis was prepared and the contract was signed, and submitted to the Executive Board.
Figures: Figures must be numbered; they must be in JPEG format with a resolution of 300 dpi; explanations and the source of the figure must be written below the figure.

Example: Figure 1. Guido Reni, "Susanna and the Elderly" (Image source: http://www....)
Tables: Tables must be numbered, explanations and the source must be written above the table.
For photographs, figures, or tables taken from another source or the internet, permission must be obtained from the publisher/corresponding author and added to the article. The source of the source must be stated in parentheses.

CITING AND SOURCES
Citation: Must be in the text, in APA format.
References: Should be listed at the end of the article in APA format, in alphabetical order, with 12-point font and 1 line spacing.

Book: Should be listed in APA format as follows: Author's last name, Author's initials (Publication year), Book title. Place of publication: Publisher.

Article: Should be listed in APA format as follows: Author's last name, Author's initials (Publication year), Article title. Journal title. Issue (volume number). Page numbers.

Encyclopedia or Anonymous Works: Should be listed in APA format.

Internet sources: Should be listed in APA format, including the date of last access.

Footnote: Should be numbered within the text and included as a footnote at the end of the article.
