Abstract
The concept of corruption is defined as the misuse of the will of the public power for different purposes. This concept maintains its agenda both as a global problem and as a research topic, as it covers important problems in both developed and developing countries, especially in economic, social and political fields. The Corruption Perception Index, which was prepared by conducting surveys by Transparency International, has been accepted as the most widely used measurement method in measuring its dimensions. In the study, the concept of corruption, its causes and its consequences are conceptually discussed, and it is aimed to reveal the change according to the Corruption Perception Index in selected Arab countries (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Morocco, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Lebanon). As a result of the study, it is observed that the macroeconomic performances of selected Arab countries are related to corruption.
