Professor Şebnem Şarvan Cengiz, PhD, is a faculty member in the Department of Coaching Education at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Manisa Celal Bayar University, Türkiye. She received her bachelor’s degree from Gazi University, her master’s degree from Harran University, and her PhD in Health Sciences from Gazi University.
Her research interests include exercise physiology, training science, performance analysis, sport psychophysiology, female athlete health, cognitive performance, and research methods in sport sciences. Her recent work has focused on heart rate variability (HRV), cognitive load, neurophysiological assessment (EEG and fNIRS), high-intensity exercise, female athletes, and performance optimization.
Professor Cengiz has authored numerous scientific articles, book chapters, and conference papers published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, including journals indexed in SCI/SCIE. She actively supervises master’s and doctoral students and contributes to the development of young researchers through research projects and graduate education.
In addition to her academic research, Professor Cengiz is actively involved in quality assurance and accreditation in higher education. She serves as an external evaluator for SPORAK (Sports Sciences Education Programs Accreditation Board) and the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC/YÖKAK), participating in accreditation and institutional evaluation processes for higher education programs.
Professor Cengiz adopts an interdisciplinary perspective in her research, integrating physiological, psychological, and cognitive dimensions of sport performance to advance evidence-based practice in sport sciences.
Prof. Dr. Fatih Kıyıcı was born in 1981 in Erzurum. He completed his undergraduate and graduate education in Erzurum Atatürk University, and his doctorate in Ankara Gazi University, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Department of Physical Education and Sports.
He was appointed as Research Assistant in 2002, Assistant Professor in 2009, Associate Professor in 2014 and Professor in 2020. prof. Dr. Fatih Kıyıcı is the director of Atatürk University Graduate School of Winter Sports and Sports Sciences and Sports Sciences Application and Research Center.
As the Alpine Technical Delegate of the International Ski Federation (FIS), he has been actively involved in the conduct of many national and international competitions since 2010. Fatih Kıyıcı is married and has a daughter.
