BRICS ÜLKELERİNDE PARA ARZI, FİNANSAL VE TİCARİ AÇIKLIĞIN EKONOMİK BÜYÜME ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada BRICS ülkelerinde para arzı, finansal açıklık ve ticari açıklık ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişki 1995-2018 dönemi için incelenmektir. Çalışmada ülkelerin diğer ülkelerle ne kadar entegre olduğunu gösteren finansal ve ticari açıklığın ve para arzının ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkisi Panel VAR modeli ve Panel VEC Granger Nedensellik testi ile incelenmiştir. Değişkenler arasındaki nedensellik ilişkisinin yönü Panel VEC Granger Nedensellik testi ile incelenmiştir. Nedensellik testi sonuçlarında kısa dönemde ekonomik büyümeden finansal ve ticari açıklığa doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisinin varlığı ortaya konulmuştur. Bununla birlikte para arzından ekonomik büyümeye ve ticari açıklığa doğru tek yönlü nedensellik ilişkisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Uzun dönemde de ekonomik büyümeden finansal açıklığa doğru nedensellik ilişkisi olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.
