Ethical Principles

• Samsun Aviation and Aeronautical Research Journal (Samsun Av. & Aero. Res. J.) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed journal that aims to contribute to the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge in the field of aviation. Manuscripts submitted to the journal are evaluated in accordance with the principles of scientific research and publication ethics. The journal adheres to the following ethical principles:
• Authors must refrain from practices that violate research and publication ethics, including plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, duplicate publication, salami slicing, and inappropriate authorship. All submitted manuscripts are screened using similarity-detection software.
• The peer-review process is conducted in accordance with the double-blind peer-review principle. Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, impartially, and on the basis of scientific criteria; maintain confidentiality; and disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the editorial office.
• Editors are responsible for maintaining impartiality and confidentiality throughout the evaluation process, preventing conflicts of interest, and ensuring that the peer-review process is conducted in accordance with scientific and ethical principles.
• Authors are responsible for ensuring the scientific and ethical integrity of their manuscripts. For studies requiring ethics committee approval, the necessary approval must be obtained before the research begins. The name of the ethics committee, the date of approval, and the approval number must be stated in the manuscript. If ethics committee approval is not required, this must also be explicitly declared in the manuscript.

Publication Policy

• The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, technical notes, and critical reviews. Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Open Access Policy

• Samsun Aviation and Aeronautical Research Journal adopts the principles of open-access publishing. All articles published in the journal are available online free of charge and without access restrictions. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) License. This license permits published works to be shared, copied, and adapted, provided that appropriate attribution is given and the material is not used for commercial purposes.

Copyright Policy

• The copyright of works published in Samsun Aviation and Aeronautical Research Journal remains with the authors. Authors grant the journal the right of first publication.
• Published works are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) License. Third parties may share and adapt the published material for non-commercial purposes, provided that they give appropriate credit to the authors and the original source of publication, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether any changes have been made.

Author Fees

• Samsun Aviation and Aeronautical Research Journal does not charge authors any fees. There are no submission fees or article processing charges (APCs). Authors are not charged any fees if they withdraw their manuscript during the evaluation or publication process.
