Fertiliteyi Geliştirmede Yenilikçi Bir Yöntem: Fertilite Yogası

Year 2022, Volume: 12 Issue: 2, 378 - 389, 17.05.2022

Abstract

An Innovative Method to Improve Fertility: Fertility Yoga

Year 2022, Volume: 12 Issue: 2, 378 - 389, 17.05.2022
https://doi.org/10.33631/sabd.1115985

Abstract

Fertility yoga is a type of yoga that promotes fertility improvement and relaxation. Like other forms of yoga, it helps the body maintain its internal balance and function properly and optimally. Fertility yoga includes asanas, pranayama (breathing), and meditation to reduce stress that negatively impacts fertility. The main difference of fertility yoga from other yogas is that it focuses on movements that increase blood flow to the pelvic area. Another difference is that it is based on the chakras that govern our physical body and energy, especially the sacral chakra. The sacral chakra is the chakra that should be kept active in fertility yoga. Fertility yoga is a practice that individuals can practice on their own under the guidance of a fertility yoga instructor. However, individuals with fertility problems limit their physical movements, especially during the treatment process, with the thought that it will increase their chances of getting pregnant. Awareness of couples can be increased by health professionals about the benefits of physical movement such as fertility yoga, practices that increase freshly oxygenated blood flow to the pelvic area and spiritual relaxation. The aim of this article is to explain the effect of fertility-specific fertility yoga on female and male fertility and to present an exemplary program for health professionals.
