Abstract
Urinary incontinence associated dermatitis is a common type of irritant dermatitis seen in patients with urinary incontinence. This skin problem, which has a wide range of prevalence, negatively affects individuals in many ways. Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence-related dermatitis is possible with effective nursing care. An effective nursing care should include the steps of cleaning, protecting and repairing the skin. In this review, nursing care to be applied in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of urinary incontinence-related dermatitis is discussed.
