Abstract

Abstract

Covid 19, which has taken the whole world under its influence, has deeply affected individuals socially and individually. These quarantine and social isolation measures taken by the state to reduce the rate of transmission of the virus cause individuals to be separated from their loved ones and to restrict their freedom. Due to the uncertainty of the disease, the level of anxiety increases and psychological effects such as depressive symptoms, loneliness, hopelessness, anger and post-traumatic stress disorder occur. For this reason, the study was carried out to determine the psychosocial effects of the COVID-19 process on children. In the research, which was carried out with the typical case study method, one of the qualitative research methods, 19 classroom teachers of a primary school in the Etimesgut district of Ankara were interviewed. As a result of the research, it was found that after the covid 19 pandemic, there were changes in the behavior of children in general, changes in their health-related routines, their habits towards education and training changed, and cognitive skills were negatively affected. In addition, changes in children's emotional states and an increase in their behavior towards violence were observed.
