In this article, I will analyse an Arabic treatise by Abu Said
Muhammedel-Khadimi (d. 1762-63) concerning the famous sufi order
ofNaqshbandiyya. This small treatise comprises of the followings
sections:The principles of Naqshbandi order, correct belief in God,
truerepentance, allegience to the sunna of the prophet, practicing
religiousrules in fullness, abstaining from commiting illicit acts,
purifying thesoul from evils, avoiding from vices and having good
morals. Throughexplaing these themes, I will try to lay down the views
of el-Khadimi onsufism in general end Naqshbandi order in particular.
