Writing Rules

Journal of Academic Sirah is a peer-reviewed journal published at least twice a year in January and June. Article acceptance dates, for the issue dated 1 January, it is 1 July - 1 November; for the issue dated 30 June, it is 2 January - 30 April. Acceptance of translations and book reviews, for the issue dated January 1, it is 1 July – 15 November; for the issue dated 30 June, it is 2 January - 15 May.


1. Page Layout:

The articles should be placed on A4 size paper with all margins 2 cm.

2. Font:

The titles and texts should be written in the Book Antiqua font, the titles should be bold and 12 points, the texts should be written in 11 points; the Abstract’s title should be and 11 points; the it’s texts should be written in 10 points.

3. Paragraph Format:

Line spacing of textual content should be multiple, 1.25, before and after 6 pt, first line 0.7 cm and justified. As an exception, the texts in the bibliography should be set as 0.7 cm hanging; the texts in the abstract and abstract should be set as single line spacing, before and after 6 nk, and 0 for the first line.

4. Titles:

Inner titles should be created by enumerating in a decimal way such as "1., 1.1., 1.1.1.". First-level titles must be all uppercase, second, third, and fourth-level titles must be first-letter uppercase, line spacing multiple,1.25, before and after 6 nk, first-line 0.7 cm and justified. As an exception, the titles of Abstract should be capitalize, the first line should be 0. Bibliography title should be set first line 0.

As an exception, in the second, third, and fourth-level titles all appendices such as and, with, to, of must always be lowercase.

Introduction, Conclusion and Bibliography titles are not numbered and all are capitalized.

5. Footnotes:

Book Antique font, 10 points, line spacing should be single, before and after 0, hanging 0.3 cm, left -0.3 cm indented and justified.

The form rules of the second edition of the ISNAD citation system should be observed in the references in the footnotes.

6. Citations:

Double quotes should be used in citations given in the text, single quotes should be used in citations within citations.

Citations given by carriage return should have 1 cm right and left indentation, one line spacing, and the first line 0.

 7. Figures and Tables:

Figures and Tables should be given in the text. The name of the figures should be below the figure; the name of the table should be above the table. Figure and table expressions (such as Figure 1., Table 1. ) should be given in bold and 11 points. It should not be given separately at the end of the study.

Line spacing in shapes and tables should be single and before and after, 0 nk.

8. Bibliography

References should be given on a separate page under the heading “bibliography” after the notes, if any. In the bibliography, the form rules of the second edition of the ISNAD citation system should be followed.

9. Appendix:

Each appendix should be on a separate page after the Bibliography.

10. Other Issues:

Headers, footers, and page numbers should not be added.

The author's name, title, institution information and ORCID identification number should not be added to the article.
