Intermodulation radar for P-N Junction detection

Abstract

Intermodulation radar is
a kind of harmonic radar. These radars not only receive the second and third
harmonics but also intermodulation products of the transmitted multi-tone
signal. These radars are useful for detection of non-linear electronics which
are important for countersurveillance, and many other applications. The most
important issue in these radars is to satisfy the low false alarm and correct
detection. This work investigates the performances of the single tone harmonic
radar and two-tone intermodulation radar in terms of the false alarm and correct
detection rate by performing some experiments.

P-N Jonksiyon tespiti için intermodülasyon radarı

Abstract

Intermodülasyon radarı bir çesit harmonik radardır. Bu radarlar,
gönderilen çok tonlu işaretin sadece ikinci ve üçüncü harmoniğini değil aynı
zamanda diğer intermodülasyon ürünlerinide algılarlar. Bu radarlar güvenlik
uygulamalarında, gizlenmiş herhangi elektronik cihaz tespitinde kullanıldığı
gibi farklı alanlarda da kullanılabilmektedirler. Bu radarlardaki en kritik
konu yüksek doğru tespit oranı ve düşük yanlış alarm oranıdır. Bu çalışmada tek
ton radarlar ile iki ton radarların performansı karşılastırılarak, çok tonlu
radarların doğru tespit oranını arttırdığı ve yanlış tespit oranınıda düşürdüğü
gösterilmektedir. İkinci ve üçüncü harmonik dışında ekstra intermodülasyon
ürünleri karşılaştırma kriterlerini arttırarak performansda iyileşme sağlamaktadır.
Bu çalışmada çeşitli deneyler ile performans arttışı gösterilmiştir.
