Abstract

In this study, the effect of STATCOM and SVC controllers are examined against the power system voltage collapse. Investigations were made IEEE 5 bus system. The computer simulation program was used for the PSAT. PV curves obtained using the method of continuous power flow analysis with the STATCOM and SVC are examined against voltage collapse. Simulation studies of SVC and STATCOM system was to increase the limits of chargeability.
