SOYA Y AGI METİL ES TERİNİN MOTOR PERFORMANS KARAKTERİSTİKLERİ ve NOx EMİSYONLARI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİNİN INCELENMESI

Abstract
Bu çalışmada, rafine soya yağından transesterifıkasyon yönten1iyle elde edilen ve biyodizel olarak adlandırılan soya
yağı ınetil esterinin (SYME), bir dizel motorunda kullanılması sonucu elde edilen motor perforn1ans karakteristikleri ve
NOx emisyon değerlerindeki değişimler dizel yakıtı ile karşılaştırılmalı olaral( değerlendirilıniştir. Biyodizel yakıtının
testlerinde motorine oranla daha düşük ısıl değer, yüksek viskozite ve yoğunluk saptanınıştır. Motor testlerinde ise
motorine oranla efektif güçte ortalama 0/o3.92 azalma ortaya çıkmaktadır. Özgül yakıt tüketiıninde artış görüln1ektedir.
NOx emisyonları SYME yakıtı ile belirgin artış göstermektedir. Yapılan testlerde yakıtın kullanımı ile ilgili önemli bir
sorunla karşılaşılınamıştır.
