In this study, gamma-ray linear attenuation coefficients (), self-attenuation correction factors (Fatt) and
transmission factors (I/I0) for the skimmed milk powder were determined experimentally. For this purpose, n-type
20% HPGe detector was used. Linear attenuation coefficients () and self-attenuation correction factors (Fatt) were
obtained for the 30.9, 59.5, 80.9, 276.4, 302.9, 356.0, 661.6, 1173.2 and 1332.5 keV gamma-ray energies.
Measured linear attenuation coefficients were 0.335, 0.150, 0.137, 0.084, 0.080, 0.078, 0.073, 0.052 and 0.049
cm-1. Measured self-attenuation correction factors were 2.04, 1.41, 1.37, 1.22, 1.21, 1.20, 1.19, 1.13 and 1.12.
