The computer simulation is a widespread in industry to support
decisions and to approximate systems performance that is not easy to be
analyzed. The real decisions often encounter optimization of multiple and
opposing, objectives. It is common for transportation problems to be addressed
by simulation modeling that use traditional analytical ways. Different kinds of
models are investigated depend on the studied problem. This paper examines
traffic control mean in terms of the performance measures when utilized in an
urban area intersection, i.e. which design minimizes total time in system and
waiting time while maximizing number of vehicles out. Simulation models for the
base and alternatives are considered in comparison for the best results.
