Hacettepe Journal of Sports Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal that has been in publication since 1990 and is published electronically four times a year. While the primary language of the journal is Turkish, articles in English are also included. The journal publishes original research and review articles covering all areas of sports sciences and human movement within the country. Each issue features a maximum of one review article, resulting in a total of four review articles per year. Review articles are accepted by invitation from academics who have previously published research articles in the relevant field and are subsequently processed through the peer-review and publication system. In accordance with the journal's editorial policy, articles based on bibliometric analysis and scientific mapping techniques are not considered for publication. The journal also publishes letters to the editor, case reports, and book reviews. Hacettepe Journal of Sports Sciences (HJSS) has been indexed in TRDizin since 2003.
