AN INVESTIGATION ON SOCIAL MEDIA SHARES OF POLITICAL PARTY LEADERS WHO ARE OPINION LEADERS IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract

Opinion leaders who have an influence on the opinions of individuals with their words and behaviors; They also take place in social media environments, which are a result of developments in communication technologies. In the social media environment that allows participatory culture, they also carry out the interpersonal communication process online with their advice and information. Individuals who spend more time in their homes for social isolation, especially with the measures taken and the applications started due to the Covid-19 Pandemic; they use social media more. Individuals; they started to use the social media more frequently for various purposes such as obtaining information, communicating, and having fun. Individuals considered within the scope of the concept of opinion leadership that emerged as a result of research conducted in a political context; by social media sharing, they can assist in adapting to measures, practices, and reinforcing harmony. In this direction, content analysis of the shares of political party leaders, as opinion leaders, where they can create awareness about the Covid-19 Pandemic, has been made in this study. Shares of political party leaders, who are opinion leaders, on social media accounts; It was analyzed by frequency analysis and categorical analysis. In this context, the posts were examined in order to determine the role of political party leaders in the pandemic process in order to raise awareness about the Covid-19 Pandemic, and based on the slogan of the Ministry of Health, "mask", "distance", "hygiene", it has been tried to be categorized and shared frequency.

COVID-19 PANDEMİSİNDE BİRER KANAAT ÖNDERİ OLARAK SİYASİ PARTİ LİDERLERİNİN SOSYAL MEDYA PAYLAŞIMLARI ÜZERİNE İNCELEME

Abstract

Sözleri ve davranışları ile bireylerin kanaatleri üzerinde etkili olan kanaat önderleri; iletişim teknolojilerinde yaşanan gelişmelerin bir neticesi olan sosyal medya ortamlarında da yer almaktadırlar. Katılımcı kültüre olanak tanıyan sosyal medya ortamı üzerinden tavsiyeleri, bilgilendirmeleri ile kişilerarası iletişim sürecini çevrimiçi olarak da gerçekleştirmektedirler. Özellikle Covid-19 Pandemisi nedeniyle alınan tedbirler ve yürütülmeye başlanan uygulamalar ile birlikte sosyal izolasyon için evlerinde daha çok vakit geçiren bireyler; sosyal medyayı daha çok kullanmaktadırlar. Bireyler; sosyal medya ortamını bilgi edinme, iletişimde bulunma, eğlenme gibi çeşitli amaçlar doğrultusunda daha sık kullanmaya başlamışlardır. Siyasi bağlamda yapılan araştırmalar neticesinde ortaya çıkan kanaat önderliği kavramı kapsamındaki bireyler paylaşımları ile tedbirlere, uygulamalara uyum sağlanması, uyumun pekiştirilmesi noktalarında yardımcı olabilmektedirler. Bu doğrultuda bu çalışmada kanaat önderleri olarak siyasi parti liderlerinin Covid-19 Pandemisi’ne ilişkin bilinçlilik, farkındalık oluşturulması noktasında paylaşımlarının içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Birer kanaat önderi olan siyasi parti liderlerinin sosyal medya hesaplarındaki paylaşımları; frekans analizi ve kategorisel analiz ile analiz edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda Covid-19 Pandemisi’ne yönelik bilinçlilik ve farkındalık oluşması adına siyasi parti liderlerinin pandemi sürecindeki rolünü saptayabilmek üzere paylaşımları incelemeye tabii tutulmuştur ve T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı’nın “maske”, “mesafe”, “temizlik” sloganı üzerinden hareketle kategorilendirilmeye ve paylaşım sıklıkları ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.
