FRANSA’NIN GÜVENLİK POLİTİKASI: DE GAULLE DÖNEMİ (1958-1969)

Year 2007, Issue: 5, 79 - 92, 01.06.2007

Abstract

Abstract

General Charles de Gaulle, the founder of France 5th Republic, developed some basic principles by being affected from Second World War experiences and determined France’s defence and security policy on this axis. De Gaulles’ formulation and application of France’s ideals with his world view and following governments’ adoption of his principles provided him to put his stamp on the history of France. In this study, the principles that de Gaulle established and security and defence policy that he applied during his government period is examined
