LİSE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN FİNANSAL OKURYAZARLIK DÜZEYLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİNE YÖNELİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Öz

Finansal
okuryazarlık, temel düzeyde finansal ürünler ve uygulamalar hakkında bilgi
sahibi olarak, gündelik hayatta kullanılan finansal araçların seçiminde bilgi
temelli kararlar verebilmeyi sağlayan yeterlilik düzeyini ifade etmektedir.
Finansal okuryazarlığı oluşturan unsurlar finansal
bilgi, finansal tutum ve finansal davranış kapsamında ele alınabilmektedir.



Toplumun geleceğini temsil eden gençler için finansal
okuryazarlık düzeyinin yüksek olması önemlidir. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın
temel amacı, lise öğrencileri için önemli olan finansal okuryazarlık konusunu
teorik olarak incelemek ve Trabzon Ortahisar ilçesinde yer alan liselerde
öğrenim gören öğrencilerin finansal okuryazarlık düzeylerini,
finansal erişim, bilgi, tutum
ve davranışlarından hareketle belirlemektir. Analiz sonucunda, öğrencilerin
finansal gelişmelere olan ilgilerinin düşük olduğu ve temel finansal terimler
hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca,
öğrencilerin olumlu
finansal davranış ve tutumlar sergiledikleri ancak finansal bilgilerinin, tutum
ve davranışları üzerinde etkisinin az olduğundan da söz edilebilmektedir.
