Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the fundamental motivations behind consumers' preferences for electric vehicles. Analyzing consumer motivations for electric vehicle preferences is crucial to comprehend the growing interest in sustainable transportation solutions in today's context. Through a comprehensive literature review, key consumer motivation factors shaping electric vehicle preferences have been identified, including environmental awareness and the desire for an environmentally friendly and prestigious image, low energy costs, advanced battery technology, autonomous driving capabilities, digital features, energy security, and government incentives. This research's contribution to the consumer behavior literature is expected to provide insights and guide electric vehicle manufacturers and governments in offering more attractive product features and incentives to consumers. Taking into account the consumer preference factors highlighted in the study would aid manufacturers in fostering broader adoption of electric vehicles among various user segments.
