TUZLU (NaCI) KOŞULLAR ALTINDAKİ TOHUM ÇİMLENMESİ, FİDE BÜYÜMESİ VE YAPRAK ANATOMİSİ ÜZERİNE TRİAKONTANOL ÖN UYGULAMASININ ETKİLERİ

Year 2007, Volume: 2 Issue: 2, 136 - 145, 01.12.2007

Abstract

EFFECTS OF TRIACONTANOL PRETREATMENT ON SEED GERMINATION, SEEDLING GROWTH AND LEAF ANATOMY UNDER SALINE (NaCI) CONDITIONS
Abstract: Effects of triacontanol pretreatment on seed germination, seedling growth and leaf anatomy of barley under saline conditions were investigated in this study. Although, triacontanol pretreatment partly alleviated the preventive effect of salt stress on the germination percentage, radicle elongation and fresh weight, it had no effect on the coleoptile percentage and elongation. However, it was determined that triacontanol pretreatment affected in different degrees on parameters of leaf anatomy of barley seedlings grown under saline conditions, and this difference was statistically important.
Key words: Barley, seedling growth, seed germination, triacontanol, salt stress, leaf anatomy
