Abstract

antioksidan aktivitesinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Centaurea Pterocaula 'u yağından
uzaklaştırılmak için sokslet apareyi ile petrol eterinde ekstrakte edildi. Sonra materyal
%70 lik metanolde tekrar ekstraksiyona tabi tutuldu ve çözücüsünden uzaklaştırıldı.
Toplam fenolik madde konsantrasyonu Folin-Ciocalteu metoduna, serbest radikal
süpürme etkisi DPPH metoduna göre ve indirgeme gücü ise Oyaizu metoduna göre
yapıldı. Bitkinin fenolik yapısı HPLC ile belirlendi. Sonuçlar sentetik antioksidan olan
BHT (Butillenmişhidroksitoluen) ve BHA (Butillenmişhidroksianisol) ile kıyaslandı.

DETERMINATION OF PHENOLIC CONTENT AND ANTIOXIDANT EFFECT
OF CENTAUREA PTEROCAULA TRUATV. IN KONYA
Abstract: The present study was carried out to determine of Centaurea Pterocaula
which was collected in region of Konya Tuz Lake. It was extracted with petroleum
ether using a soxhleth apparatus for remove it's oil. Then the defatted plant materials
were extracted with 70% methanol.and concentrated. Total phenol concentration was
determined by Folin-Ciocalteu method, free radical scavenging activities were
determined based on DPPH and determined reducing power based on Oyaizu method.
The phenolic compound of C. Pterocaula was elucidated by HPLC analysis. Results
were compared with standard antioxidant compound BHA and BHT.
