Endemic Plant Diversity and Conservation of The Dumanlı Mountains (Refahiye Erzincan)

Abstract

In this study, endemic plants of the Dumanlı mountains found in the Refahiye district (Erzincan) was detected. The studied area is found in Irano Touranian phytogeographical region and in B7 square.. At the end of the identification studies of the plant samples collected during the field studies, a total of 633 plant taxa belonging to 60 families and 245 genera were identified. 112 taxa were determined to be endemic (17.69%). Of these endemic taxa, 102 are in Magnoliopsida (Dicotyledoneae) and 10 are in Liliopsida (Monocotyledoneae) classes. The families containing the biggest number of endemic taxa are as follows respectivelly; Asteraceae 20 (17,86%), Caryophyllaceae 13 (11,61%), Brassicaceae 11 (9,82%), Lamiaceae 10 (8,93%) and Fabaceae 8 (7,14%). The genera that contain the biggest number of endemic taxa are as follows respectivelly; Silene 5 (7,04%), Tanacetum 4 (5,63%), Onosma 4 (5,63%), Astaragalus 4 (5,63%), Hypericum 3 (4,23%), Allium 3 (4,23%), Alyssum 3 (4,23%), Centaurea 3 (4,23%) and Tripleurospermum 3 (4,23%). In the study, the threat categories of the taxa were also presented.

Dumanlı Dağları (Refahiye-Erzincan)’nın Endemik Bitki Çeşitliliği

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Refahiye (Erzincan) ilçesinde bulunan Dumanlı daglarının endemik bitkileri belirlenmiştir. Çalışılan alan İran-Turan fitocoğrafik elementi ve B7 karesi içerisinde bulunmaktadır. Arazi çalışmaları sırasında toplanan bitki örneklerinin teşhis çalışmaları sonucunda, 60 familya ve 245 cinse ait toplam 633 takson belirlenmiştir. Bunlardan 112 taksonun (% 17,69) endemik olduğu belirlenmiştir. Endemik taksonlardan 102’si Magnoliopsida (Dicotyledoneae) sınıfında, 10’u Liliopsida (Monocotyledoneae) sınıfında yer almaktadır. En çok endemik takson ihtiva eden familyalar sırasıyla; Asteraceae 20 (% 17,86), Caryophyllaceae 13 (% 11,61), Brassicaceae 11 (% 9,82), Lamiaceae 10 (% 8,93) ve Fabaceae 8 (% 7,14)’dir. Çalışmada taksonların tehlike kategorileri de sunulmuştur.
