Abstract

Farklı dinamikleri etkileme ve farklı dinamiklerden etkilenme konusunda, sosyal bilimlerde göç hareketleri kadar çok az konu vardır. Göç hareketleri ister gönüllü olsun, ister zorunlu olsun ekonomi, demografi, kültür, hukuk, antropoloji ve çevre gibi birçok disiplinle etkileşim halindedir. Göç yaklaşımları özellikle yirminci yüzyıldan itibaren göç hareketinin etkileşimde olduğu birçok disiplin dahilinde bireylerin göç kararı alma süreçlerini ve göç olgusunun sonuçlarını/etkilerini ele almışlardır. Bu çalışmada özellikle göç yaklaşımlarının ekonomi temelli olan türleri üzerinde durulacaktır. Ekonomi temelli göç yaklaşımları incelendikten sonra yaklaşımların dinamikleri ele alınacaktır. Çalışmanın son kısmında da, ekonomi perspektifinden incelendiğinde bireylerin karar alma süreçleri incelenecektir. Sözü edilen karar alma sürecinin önemli bir bölümünü de bireylerin öngörü ve eylemleri oluşturmaktadır. Sonuç olarak bireylerin göç kararlarına etki eden ve bu bağlamda onları motive eden unsurlar analiz edilecektir.

DECISION MAKING PROCESSES OF MIGRANTS IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF ECONOMIC MIGRATION THEORIES

Abstract

In social sciences, there is a very limited number of subjects that influence, and are influenced by, different dynamics as migration. Whether it is voluntary or obligatory, migration movements are in constant interaction with disciplines such as economy, demography, culture, law, anthropology and environment. Different approaches to migration have addressed the individuals' decisions for migrating, as well as the results and effects of the migration phenomena through a number of disciplines that the migration movement is in interaction with, especially from the twentieth century. In this work, the approaches to migration, especially based on economical grounds, will be addressed. Once the economy based approaches to migration are analyzed, the dynamics of these approaches will be examined. In the conclusion part, the process of individuals' decision making will be examined from an economical perspective.. The aforementioned decision making process consists primarily of the individuals' foresights and actions. Consequently, elements that play a significant role in individuals' deciding to migrate and motivate them will be analyzed.
