Effect of the Surface Dehydratation on the Microleakage Scores of the Self etch adhesive Systems

Abstract

: 28 third molar teeths were randomly assigned two groups. Class V cavities were prepared on the facial surface of each tooth with coronal margins enamel and apical margins in cementum (dentin) at the cementoenamel junction. The preparations were restored using Clearfil SE Bond and Clearfil S3 Bond that bonded wet dentin (control), or ethanol-prepared dentin, followed by insertion of Filtek Z 250 composite restorations. The teeth (specimens) were thermocycled 1,000 cycles, immersed 0,5% methylene blue dye for 24 hours. The specimen were then sectioned longitudinally, with dye penetration (microleakage) examined using a 40× stereomicroscope. Coronal and apical margins were dye penetration was scored: 0=no penetration; 1=partial dye penetration along the occlusal or gingival wall; 2=dye penetration along the occlusal or gingival wall; 3=dye penetration to along the axial wall. Data were analyzed by Kruskal- Wallis one-way ANOVA.

Yüzey Dehidratasyonun Self Etch Adeziv Sistemlerin Mikrosızıntı Skorlarına Etkisi

Abstract

Çalışmamızda 28 adet gömük yirmi yaş dişi kullanılmıştır. 28 dişin bukkal yüzlerine mine-sement birleşimde klas V kaviteler hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmada hazırlanan kavitelere Clearfil SE Bond ve Clearfil S3 Bond iki farklı şeklide uygulanmıştır. Bunlardan ilki bağlayıcıların üretici firma önerileri doğrultusunda uygulanması diğeri ise kavitelere %95'lik etanolun 30 sn uygulanmasını takiben bağlayıcının üretici firma önerileri doğrultusunda uygulanması şeklindedir. Çalışmamızda örneklere etanol uygulanmasının amacı bağlayıcı uygulamasından önce bağlanma yüzeylerinden suyun uzaklaşmasını sağlamaktır. Kavitelere dentin bağlayıcıların uygulanmasını takiben Filtek Z 250 kompozit materyali ile restorasyonlar tamamlanmıştır. Restorasyonların cila işlemi cila diskleri ile yapılmış ve örneklere 5 °C ile 55 °C arasında 1.000 termosiklus işlemi uygulanmıştır. Daha sonra örnekler %0,5'lik metilen mavisinde 24 saat bekletilmiş, boyadan çıkarıldıktan sonra akan suyun altında yıkanarak, restorasyonların ortalarından dikey kesitler alınmış ve mikroskop altında (×40) incelenerek skorlanmıştır. Mine ve dentin kenarlarındaki boya sızıntısı 0=boya sızıntısı yok, 1= mine ya da dentin duvarlarında kısmi boya sızıntısı, 2=mine ya da dentin duvarları boyunca boya sızıntısı, 3=aksiyal duvarı da içerisine alan boya sızıntısı olarak skorlanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçların istatistiksel değerlendirilmesi Kruskal- Wallis one- way ANOVA ile yapılmıştır.
