Abstract

Kolesteatomanın tanımı ve etiyolojisi tartışıldı. Kolesteatoma kabaca konjenital veya akkiz olarak ikiye ayrılabilir. Kolesteatoma patogenezindeki invajinasyon, epitelyal invazyon, bazal hücre hiperplazisi ve metaplazi teorileri karşılaştırıldı. Kolesteatomanın kaynaklandığı yere ve orta kulak anatomisine göre tipik yayıltm yolları gösterildi. Son olarak kemik erozyonundaki kolesteatoma patolojisi ele alındı. Anahtar Kelime: Kolesteatoma etyopatogenezi Abstract Cholesteatoma: Definition and Etiopathogenesis This review provides an overview of the so-called disease cholesteatoma. The defınition and the etiolögy of the cholesteatoma were discussed. Clolesteatoma may be classifıed according to the presumed etiolögy as congenital ör acquired. Invagination, immigration, basal celi hyperplasia and metaplasia theories of pathogenesis ofaural cholesteatoma were compared with each other. The typical pathwaysfor cholesteatoma grovvth were dictated by the site oforigin and the anatomical structures of the middle ear. Finally thepathology of cholesteatoma including the bone erosion was presented. Key Word: Cholesteatoma etiopathogenesis
