Abstract

Gebelik esnasında alınan infeksiyon yenidoğanda intrauterin hasar ve sekellere sebep olabilir. Bu nedenle reprodüktif dönemdeki kadınlarda toksoplazmozis araştırılmalıdır. Ağustos 2005-Temmuz 2006 tarihleri arasında Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum servis ve polikliniğine başvuran 18-49 yaş grubundaki 433 hastada toksoplazmozis seroprevalansının araştırılması amaçlandı. Hastalar 18-25, 26-35 ve 36 olarak 3 yaş grubuna ayrıldı. Anti toxoplasma IgG pozitiflikleri sırasıyla % 21.3, % 26.1 ve % 28.2; anti toxoplasma IgM değerleri ise % 0, % 2.5 ve % 7.3 olarak tespit edildi. 26-35 yaş grubunda bulunan 2 hastada anti toxoplasma IgG avidite değerleri yüksek olarak değerlendirildi. Sonuç olarak, günümüzde reprodüktif dönemdeki kadınlar için halen önemli bir sağlık problemi olarak yerini koruyan toksoplazmozisin seroprevalansının araştırılmasının önemi vurgulanmalıdır. Abstract Seroprevalance Of Toxoplasmosis In Reproductive Women Toxoplasmosis is a parasitic disease caused by a protozoon, Toxoplasma gondii. Infection, acquired during pregnancy may cause intrauterine damage and sequelae in the newborn. Therefore toxoplasmosis must be searched in reproductive women. We aimed to investigate toxoplasmosis seroprevalance in 433 patients (18-49 age group) attending the Obstetric & Gynecology clinic and policlinic of Suleyman Demirel University Researching and Application Hospital between August 2005-July 2006. We separated patients to three groups: 18-25, 26-35 and 36 age groups. IgG positivities were respectively 21.3 %, 26.1% and 28.2%; IgM positivities were respectively 0 %, 2.5 % and 7.3 %.%. IgG avidity results detected from 2 patients in 26-35 age group was high. In conclusion, the importance of searching the seroprevalance of toxoplasmosis, which is stil considered as an important health problem in reproductive women, must be emphasized.
