Perkütan nefrolitotomi operasyonunun nadir ama ölümcül bir komplikasyonu; masif hava embolisi.

Abstract

Masif hava embolisini; otopsi öncesinde postmortem bilgisayarlı tomografi çekilmedi ise ya da daha önceden şüphelenerek su altında organ diseksiyonu yapılmadı ise tanılamak zor bir durumdur. Bu şüphenin olduğu durumlarda detaylı bir otopsi yanında iyi bir olgu öyküsü ve önceki klinik bilgilerini değerlendirmek tanıda referans nokta olabilir. Bu olgu sunumunda otopside kolaylıkla atlanabilecek perkütan nefrolitotomi komplikasyonu olan masif hava embolisi sunulmuş ve postmortem BT görüntülemenin önemi vurgulanmıştır.

A rare but fatal complication of percutaneous nephrolithotomy; Massive air embolism

Abstract

It’s hard to diagnose the massive air embolism if postmortem computed tomography is not performed during autopsy or if the organ dissection is not made under water by suspecting previously. In the case of this suspicion, a good case history along with a detailed examination and evaluation of previous clinical information may serve as a reference point.  In this report; it has been presented an autopsy case of massive air embolism due to a complication of percutaneous nephrolithotomy that may be easily missed during autopsy examinations and has been highlighted the importance of postmortem computerized tomography.
