Abstract
Effects of Inhaled Budesonid on Lipid Metabolism in Patients with Allergic
Asthma Bronchiale
in this study, \ve investigated the effects ofinhaled budesonid treatment on lipid metabotism. Blood triglyceride, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol levels were measured in 25 patients \vith allergic asthma bronchiale who ftave admitted inhaled budesonid treatment, and compared with 30 healthy control group. No statistically signifıcant dijference was found in triglyceride, total cholestrol, and LDL-C levels between patients and control groups (p>0.05). HDL-C levels vere found signifıcantly higher in patients group than in the control group (p<0.05). it was concluded that inhaled budesonid treatment did not have important adverse effects on lipid metabolism.
Key Words: Asthma, inhaled budesonid, lipid.
