Abstract
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Isparta ili ve çevresinde son onbir yılda tedavi edilen çene kistlerinin yaş, cinsiyet ve lokalizasyonlarına göre dağılımını değerlendirmektir.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmamızda 1998-2009 yılları arasında Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi Ağız Diş Çene Hastalıkları ve Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalı'na müracaat eden, kist tanısı konmuş 338 hasta retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi. Üçyüzotuzsekiz hastada tespit edilen kistlerin görülme sıklığı, yaş, cinsiyet ve lokalizasyonlarına göre değerlendirildi.
Bulgular : Kliniğimizde tedavi edilen kistlerin % 55'i radiküler, %21'i dentigeröz, %14,5'i rezidüel kisttir. Tüm kistlerin %41,7'si mandibulada, %58,3'ü maksillada lokalizedir. Seride kadın/erkek oranı 1/1,4 olarak saptanmıştır.
Sonuçlar: Kistlerin tanı ve olası komplikasyonlarının bilinmesi ve uygun tedavi planlamasının yapılabilmesinde kistlerin dağılımı hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak fayda sağlayacaktır.

Abstract
A retrospective assessment of the jaw cysts in Isparta
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the fraquency, age, localization and sex distribution of jaw cysts during a 11-year period in Isparta.
Material and methods: A retrospective study was carried out in 338 cysts of the jaws diagnosed in individuals, who consecutively attended the University of Süleyman Demirel Faculty of Dentistry Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 1998 to 2009. 338 cysts were evaluated for incidence, age, sex and localization.
Results: In the former group, the most frequent lesion was radiculer cysts with 55% ratio, followed by 21% dentigerous cysts, 14,5% residuel cysts. 41,7% of the cysts were localised in the mandible and 58,3% of them were localised in the maxillae. The female/male ratio of the lesions was 1/1,4.
Conclusion: The knowledge of the incidence of the jaw cysts, is a basic aspect to achieve diagnosis, complications and a proper treatment.
