Determination of the State of the Contracting Combine Harvester : Central Anatolia Region in Turkey

Abstract

he harvest of many products in our country is carried out by self-propelled harvesters. Combine harvesters are also machines most commonly used in the harvesting machinery. In our country, there are about 15000 units combine harvester, almost all of these machines are operated by the contracting method. Contracting is one method combines acquisition method, There are major advantages of this system are provided to the farmers. This study aimed to investigate the situation in our country combine harvester contractor’s. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of 36 questions was applied to 100 harvester contractors in Central Anatolia Region. In the survey which was studied with combine harvester contactor’s, some features such as demographic structure, models of harvesters, which are used in the harvesting of which products, total annual use of space, combine purchase method, determination of harvest costs, information on issues related to the problems of electronic systems and combines contracting were determined.
