Effect of Thermal Reactor Fly Ash on Growth and Nutrient Concentrations of Chickpea and Wheat Plants Grown on a Calcereous Soil

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of fly ash, obtained from Kütahya Seyit Omer Thermal Reactor, on growh and nutrient concentrations of wheat and chickpea, grown on a calcareous soil. Results showed that lower doses of fly ash significantly increased plants growth but dry matter amount decreased with the increasing levels of fly ash. Fly ash applications led to increase of K, Fe, Cu, Zn and Mn concentrations in plants.
