Stability Analysis and Grain Yield in Some Triticale Genotypes

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the stability of 20 different triticale genotypes in terms of seed yield throughout 3 years (2005, 2006 and 2007) in Isparta ecological conditions. Experiment was designed as randomized block design with three replications. As for stability parameters, the mean values of genotypes, regression coefficient (b), deviation from regression (S2 d), coefficient of determination (r2 ), coefficient of variation (CV) and regression line intercept (a) were used. Seed yield of genotypes in the experiment ranged from 190.54 to 338.53 kg/da. According to results, it was determined that genotypes number 27 and 29 that had higher average yield, had regression coefficient (b) that was close to 1, had low coefficient of variation (CV) and that can adapt to all conditions can be used as breeding line for cultivar registration and line 28 also can be used as breeding line for cultivar registration if suitable conditions provided.
