Abstract

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of four different sowing time of marygold (Calendula officinalis L.), cultivated in Konya ecological conditions at Medicinal and Endemic Plants Education and Research Farm of Agriculture Faculty, Selcuk University, on agronomic feature in 2017. The results obtained from this research were ranged between 33.28-35.65 cm, 2.70-3.63 pieces/plant, 1.63-2.94 g, 0.28-0.44 g, 81.5-147.0 kg/da, 14.1-22.33 kg/da, for the plant height of marigold, the number of flower per plant, the yield of fresh flower per plant, the yield of drog flower per plant, the yield of fresh flower, the yield of drog flower, respectively. Marygold of usage area is increasing day by day for medicinal and cosmetic purposes, is an important species belonging to the Asteraceae family. The orange flowers of the plant are used as food, cosmetics and coloring matter, and its use in traditional and complementary medicine applications is increasing day by day.
