Ana Fikir Nedir? Nasıl Bulunur?

Abstract

Bilgi hazinelerinin kapsını aralayan okuma, dil ve zihinsel becerileri üst düzeyde geliştiren becerilerden biridir. Bu beceri okulla birlikte başlamakta ve hayat boyu sürmektedir. Bu süreçte öğrencilerin okuma ve anlama becerilerini geliştirmek için çeşitli teknikler öğretilmektedir. Bunların başında ana fikri bulma gelmektedir. Okunan bir metindeki temel düşünceyi, destekleyici fikirleri, konu ve önemli bilgileri bulmak için ana fikri bulmak zorunlu olmaktadır. Ana fikir, bir paragraf ya da metinde verilen asıl fikir, ana mesaj veya temel düşünce olmaktadır. Kısa, öz ve özgün bir düşüncedir. Metnin kalbini oluşturmaktadır. Aynı zamanda metindeki konu ve içeriğe yön vermektedir. Ana fikir bir metin ya da paragrafta verilenleri iyi anlama, okunan bilgileri zihninde yapılandırma, özetleme, metin içi ve dışı bağlantılar kurma gibi işlemleri kolaylaştırmaktadır. Araştırmalar bazı öğrencilerin ana fikir bulmada zorlandıklarını ve iyi öğretilemediğini göstermektedir. Bu nedenle makalede ana fikir bulma becerilerini geliştirme üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu anlayışla önce ana fikrin tanımı ve temel özellikleri verilmekte, diğer kavramlarla ilişkisi açıklanmaktadır. Ana fikrin İkincil fikirlerden ve konudan farkı ele alınmakta, ana fikir bulma aşamaları ile yapılacak etkinliklere yer verilmektedir. Ayrıca öğretmenin bu süreçteki rolüne dikkat çekilmektedir. Etkili bir okuma ve anlama için öğrencilerde ana fikir bulma becerilerinin geliştirilmesi gerektiği önerilmektedir.

What is the Main Idea? How is it found?

Abstract

Reading, which opens the door of knowledge treasures, is one of the skills that develops language and mental skills at a high level. This skill starts with school and continues throughout life. In this process, various techniques are taught to improve students' reading and comprehension skills. The first of these is to find the main idea. In order to find the main idea, supporting ideas, subject and important information in a text, it is necessary to find the main idea. The main idea is the main idea, main message or main idea given in a paragraph or text. It is a short, concise, and original idea. It forms the heart of the text. At the same time, it gives direction to the subject and content in the text. The main idea facilitates processes such as understanding what is given in a text or paragraph, structuring the read information in his mind, summarizing, making connections within and outside the text. Studies show that some students have difficulty in finding the main idea and are not taught well. Therefore, the article focuses on developing main idea finding skills. With this understanding, first the definition and basic features of the main idea are given, and its relationship with other concepts is explained. The difference of the main idea from the secondary ideas and the subject is discussed, the stages of finding the main idea and the activities to be done are included. In addition, attention is drawn to the role of the teacher in this process. It is suggested that for an effective reading and comprehension, students' main idea finding skills should be developed.
