The Seçim Hukuku Dergisi represents several pioneering initiatives in its field. In addition to being the first national journal dedicated exclusively to election law, it is also the fourth journal worldwide focusing specifically on the field of election law. Furthermore, the journal is the first national academic journal to implement the TÜHAS citation system developed by Kemal Gözler.
