Abstract

Abstract

Abstract
Gardner syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant inherited syndrome that may present with a number of extraintestinal findings. These include osteomas, impacted/supernumerated teeth, epidermoid cysts, desmoid tumours and retinal lesions. The presence of these extraintestinal findings in the jaws can be identified through the use of panoramic radiographs during routine dental examinations. This may serve as an important indicator that may direct dentists to further clinical investigations. The objective of this study is to present three cases of Gardner's Syndrome that were initially unaware of their condition and to highlight the importance of dentists being aware of the extraintestinal findings of the syndrome, which may appear in the jaws.
